Pearl Doll Amigurumi Pattern

Pearl Doll Amigurumi is my first pattern for a doll. It is inspired by a cartoon character, Pearl, in Steven Universe.

I know it doesn’t look like the cartoon character Pearl anymore because it’s chubby. But I made it chubby because I think chubby dolls are cute and unique compared to the skinny crochet dolls that are out in the market.

I learned a lot from making the pattern of this amigurumi doll. There were a lot of firsts with this since I don’t usually crochet dolls. I tried to crochet a few dolls but mostly crochet animal toys before this.

I learned how to make the hair. I had to watch a few tutorials to help me make the hair to how I want it to be. And obviously, there was a lot of frogging done here since the shape of her hair is not actually the typical shape. It’s a bob so I had to add some volume without making it so complicated for the people who will follow the pattern.

Ohh! I also tried to embroider her eyes. Although, I did not add it in the pattern. I’m just not ready to teach you guys embroidery yet.

So have fun! I hope you guys will like my crochet doll Pearl.
